At lunch time on Monday and Friday, Nigel can be found out on Captain Oldrey Park lending a helping hand to Mr Rutter and Mrs Morgan. His expertise on touch footy is invaluable and the skill sessions he offers to interested Year 5 & 6 students is very popular. Over the coming weeks a girl and boys team will be selected to participate in the State Knockout.

They will shine out of your face Like sunbeams and you will always Look lovely - Roald Dahl ![]() Last week you met our House Captains, this week it's our School Captain's turn. These four very capable students will play a vital role, both internally leading the student body and also in a whole school representative capacity. Congratulations to these wonderful young people. I know their year will be wonderful and full of rich and rewarding learning experiences. Last Friday afternoon the P&C associations from both our school and Moruya Public School organised a "Fun Run" at the South Broulee Beach. The stunning weather set the scene for a relaxed family afternoon of fun. A full list of prize winners will be published later but a special mention to some of the fancy dress standouts - Dan in his super hero tights, the Enright tigers, Batman, the fairies in their pink outfits, a number of Supermen and the West Spacemen. There were too many too list all the costumes but "Thank You" to all for the wonderful effort that you made (and that was before the run began). At this stage we don't have a final $ figure but with over a 150 runners we anticipate a nice amount. A special thanks to Janelle Morgan and Simone Elliott who were the district PSSA Swimming Carnival Managers and who ran a very tight and professional carnival for the district schools. At the recent Eurobodalla District Swimming Carnival, Nina Thorne's results earned her Runner Up Junior Girl champion. A great effort Nina.
At the recent Eurobodalla District Swimming carnival, the following swimmers qualified to compete at the South Coast Regional carnival at Dapto on Friday 6 March.
Congratulations Campbell, Michael, Ronin, Anton, Nina, Hannah, Chloe and Tarren. Good luck at Dapto Broulee Public School hosted this year's Eurobodalla PSSA Swimming Carnival at Narooma on Tuesday 17 February.
A big thank you to Damia, Kirra and Hannah who helped out on the day by running results from time keepers to recorders. They did a fantastic job and were awarded a certificate of thanks. |
