The weather was great "golfing weather" last Friday and it was great to see Dan Roberts (Jet and Asher's Dad) and his team take out the overall trophy for the day. The real winners howerever were our school who ended up with a nearly $6000 donation towards our new outdoor area. Great work from all involved, especially our sponsors, Win TV and Moruya Golf Course. Thank you also to Mel Love, Natalie Greenway and Sue Lindsay for all their great work in making this event such a success.
Fairy Garden & Basketball Court
For those of you who visited our school lately you would have noticed two big improvements. Our new Fairy Garden has now been finished, the fence went up over the weekend (thanks to our wonderful P&C volunteers) and it will be open for business later this week. Great news for all those small people who have been just waiting to play in the new area.
Our second big item is our resurfaced and enlarged basketball court. On Saturday the trucks sprayed the new surface and today the rings will go up. During the following few weeks the new lines will be marked for basketball, netball and tennis and then we will be open for business!
The best and most beautiful
things in the world cannot
be seen or even touched
- they must be felt with the heart.
Woke up this morning with a terrific urge
To lie in bed all day and read!

RIver of Art
I hope you had a chance to see the River of Art exhibitions in Moruya during the previous week. Our school, under the expert guidance of Mrs Julie Hurt (Byron & Flynn's grandmother) created a wonderful seascape. We also had a number of individual class exhibits. It was a great learning experience for our students and many thanks to all those involved, especially Julie.
This week our school leaders, both School Captains and House Captains are attending a two day Leadership Camp. Our leaders will join with other students from the Eurobodalla Learning Community group of schools, both high schools and primary schools. This is a wonderful opportunity for our students to work with other teachers, mentors and student leaders to foster and develop their own leadership skills.
Books Light Up Our World.
As a school we recognise that learning is not restricted to the school and classroom walls. We value and appreciate the role that parents and the community have in the learning of all of our students and we frequently look at how we can learn together more flexibly to the benefit of all of us.
One of the ways we can do this is to open up our iCentre each Monday afternoon after school has finished. We hope it will encourage parents to stay a little longer, perhaps select a book together and maybe even read the first few pages with each other. We hope to see you there.
