We are looking forward to a great day at our Athletics Carnival tomorrow. All children are to come to school as normal and will move to Captain Oldrey Park with their teachers, ready for the March Past at 9:10 am. Primary students will then do the 200m races before moving into a rotation of field events and their 100 m races. Infants children will participate in the Marching before moving into groups for activities.
All students are reminded to wear their sports uniform and to bring a drink bottle and hat with them. It would be appreciated if they could ensure hats, clothing and all items are labelled with your child’s name so any lost property can be returned on the day.
Athletics Carnivals are always a fun day so we encourage our parents, grandparents and family members to come along and cheer and encourage their children as they do their best in all the events.
Academic ChallengeLast Friday Mrs Dunne and Mr Rutter coordinated the Academic Challenge for the Eurobodalla Learning Community. Eight primary school teams and two high school teams were given a task that challenged the teams to:
The students are all to be congratulated on their dedication to the challenge and how they worked together to create their incredible responses to the challenge. It was noted how well they collaborated, not just with their team but across the groups and the creative ideas and concepts they applied to solving the challenge. Their Sculptures will now be displayed, with their explanations, as part of the Sculptures On Clyde exhibition.
Thank you to our judges on the day, Mrs Frances Wilden and Mr Bill Waterhouse. Their support of the students and program is greatly appreciated. Lastly, thank you and congratulations to Mrs Dunne and Mr Rutter for their efforts in organising the very successful day.
There is an increasing number of school jumpers and tops collecting in the lost property box near the canteen. Any jumpers with a name are being returned to children when we can, however there are a large number without names. If your child has lost a jumper recently, please have a look in the lost property box. Our Uniform Shop also has a number of second-hand jumpers for sale if you would like to top up your child’s supply as the weather gets colder.
