The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched - they must be felt with the heart.
A big thank you to the students, parents, grandparents, family, friends and teachers who participated in this wonderful school event. Although the weather was a little on the warm side the atmosphere was wonderful and parents, grandparents and friends were treated to some beautiful singing by the students at the surf club. A special thank you to the teachers involved and their organisation as this enabled the walk and lunch to run smoothly. With a shorter walk back to school along the path students were able to miss the heat of the day and enjoy some quiet time back at school after the event. Sponsorship money needs to be returned to school as soon as possible. The first prize draw will happen this Thursday. This prize is $100 Movie Voucher. Students will receive a ticket in the draw for every $10 of sponsorship money they raise.
Intensive School Swimming Program
Yesterday the two week Intensive School Swimming Program started with 45 students travelling to Batemans Bay Pool for Swimming Lessons and Stroke Development Lessons. This is a great program at a reasonable price that is thoroughly enjoyed by the students and of great benefit to them. We still have a few places left should you decide you would like your child to take up this wonderful opportunity. Please contact the school office for further information.
We would like to thank the parents for their wonderful support of our school Scholastic Book Fair. Mrs Isabelle Cameron did a fantastic job of coordinating the event and we would like to thank her for her efforts now and throughout the year, ensuring the success of all our Book Fair events. Thank you Mrs Cameron. There was a huge range of books on offer as well as other stationery items such as pens, pencils and rubbers. All students left the library with smiles on their faces and very happy with their purchases. The funds raised from these events allows Mrs Cameron to purchase new books for the library.
Today will see Gabriela Ware and Tane Simons, along with their parents, attend a special reception for the launch of the Eurobodalla 2015 Environmental Calendar at the Shire Council Chambers. Gabriela and Tane will have their artwork featured in the 2015 Calendar and we would like to congratulate them on their impressive efforts. They will each be presented with a Calendar at todays launch by the Mayor and then enjoy an afternoon tea with Councillors and the other winning artists.
The school has been provided with some wonderful new chairs for the Kindergarten and Year 1 rooms. This has meant that we have some excess furniture. Should you like some secondhand small yellow chairs with metal legs you can purchase them from the school for $2 a chair. We have approximately 50 chairs available. Please contact the front office should you wish to purchase any of these chairs.
