Thanks to the many students who have submitted stories for the Mayor's Writing Competition, and also to the students who will be competing in the ICAS assessments (International Competitions and Assessments for Students). The first paper, Digital Technology was held this morning.
We also have a number of older students competing in our school PSSA sporting knockouts, with girls netball being played this Friday against Moruya Public, boys soccer next week against Batemans Bay Public and girls soccer against Narooma Public. Good luck to these teams.
Last Saturday saw the area's first Hackathon hosted at Batemans Bay High School. We have received great feedback from both the organisers as well as our three participants, James Greenway, Daniel Wallace and Will Stone. While this event was an initiative of the Eurobodalla Digital Network group a huge thanks goes to Greg McDonald, principal of Batenmans Bay High School for organising and coordinating the day as well as the Eurobodalla Shire for supplying catering. A large number of individual business people also donated their Saturday to provide individual and small group mentoring. Students in Yr 5 - Yr 12 from both department and private schools travelled from Ulladulla through to Narooma to participate.
