The humid weather we have had also provides a prime breeding ground for ring worm and impetigo (school sores). Both of these are very common and highly contagious and if you think your child has either one of them could you please get treatment as soon as possible. Children are allowed at school if the sores are covered. Many thanks for your support with this.
Year 6 Award
This week the school received a Certificate of Appreciation from the Daniel Morcombe Foundation. The certificate was made out to Mr Rutter's 2012 Year 6 class in recognition of the funds they raised and sent to the Foundation. The 2012 Year 6 students selected this foundation to support after researching a number of options last year. The students raised the money with their project based learning project. This project culminated in a wonderful Hip Hop performance and fund raising sausage sizzle.
Coles and Woolies dockets, our goodies have arrived!
Thank you to all of our parents and friends who gave us their Coles and Woolies dockets last year. Using these dockets we were able to select a wide range of goodies that finally arrived last week. Our selection included class boxes of lego, science gear, creative games, cricket bats, balls, tennis rackets etc.
Without your support we wouldn't be able to get such great material for our school.
Congratulations to the following students who have gained district selection in the following sports:
AFL: Wade McDonald, Buster Ware and Austin Reid
Basketball: Ella Clarke, Paul Kerr, Darcy Rankin, Indica Askins and Zac Southwell
