WILL BE fine and sunny on the 20 March! Many thanks to all of our parents and community
members who have sold tickets, donated goodies or found time to do the many things that
need to be done to organise a school fete.
The Fete will go from 3:30-7:00pm. It will be opened at 3:30pm by our Students who will perform a dance to celebrate Harmony Day. Each student will wear something orange that they have made at School (headband/wrist band/waist tie etc) to celebrate .
The Thursday of the fete will be a mufti day where children can wear anything that is bright and colourful.
Parents are reminded that children should not be left at the fete unattended. Staff will be
busy with stalls and children during this time will be the parent's responsibility.
Dropping Off Students
Just a quick reminder to parents that the staff carpark is only to be used for staff parking
and not for dropping off students. I fully appreciate that there is limited space on the road
for parking but the small space in the car park does not safely allow for cars to turn around
or reverse out onto the busy road. We appreciate your support with this road safety issue.
Professor Stephen Heppell
Last year I had the pleasure of attending a National Conference in which Professor Stephen Heppell was one of the keynote speakers. Stephen Heppell is a well known international expert on education and technology and in the following link he shows how children can become experts with digital learning and how schools must become more responsible in their preparation for helping students prepare or the workforce.
Most of the programs that the students are using are ones that we use here at our school.
