Last Friday we held our own school ANZAC Service followed by a wonderful representation of students at the ANZAC March at Tomakin on Saturday.
Many thanks to Mrs Julie Frost who organised a very moving school service, where each child and staff member placed the name of a local WW1 enlisted member on the back of a decorated white dove. These doves were then hung on hoops and were presented to the assembly by students from each stage group. There were 377 names that were collected from the memorials between Mogo and Bodalla.
On Saturday nearly all school staff and many students participated in the March and service in Tomakin. I'm very grateful to my school community for such wonderful support at such an important event. The students looked wonderful in their uniforms and their behaviour and manners were a credit to their families.
Thank you to all.
Launch of our School App.
We have been working for some time on having our own mobile school app. While we think communication is good between home and school, I feel this app will make it even better. It is free, very easy to install and use, and can be loaded onto either an iPhone or android phone.
Just follow these instructions:
- iPhone & iPad: Open the App Store on your device, search for “Broulee Public School”.
- Android: Open the Play Store on your device, search for “Broulee Public School”.
- Windows Phone & Windows: Open the Windows Store, search for “enews” and download “School Enews” app. Open the app and search for “Broulee Public”.
