On Thursday, 6th June students from Year One and 2I travelled on the bus to Moruya Airport for our Transport Excursion. We have been learning about lots of different types of transport in Science and HSIE so it was wonderful to experience it in person.
Students were able to look at, learn about and explore many different types of planes, the Seabreeze Aircraft Maintenance Hangar, the Westpac Rescue Helicopter, the Broulee Fire Truck, Broulee Surf Life Saving vehicles, motorbikes, a horse float, a boat and the big skip-bin truck. This excursion would not have been possible without so many people in our school community donating their time, knowledge and vehicles for the day.
Special thanks go to the Fairweathers, Tim Gilbo, Robert Wildman and the Westpac Rescue team, Skydive Oz, Damon Jones, Andrew Mizzi, Tahlia's family, the Megee family, Cindy Pearson-Perryman, Tim McDonald, the Broulee Rural Fire Brigade, the Broulee Surf Life Saving Club and our wonderful parent helpers for the day Gabrielle, Paula, Belle, Leonie, Amanda, Paula and Priscilla.
