Many thanks to those parents who have already paid the Voluntary School Contribution payment. This payment allows our school to purchase additional items including art and craft supplies and sport equipment. The technology component is mainly for the purchase and or replacement of the White Boards and projectors in each of the classrooms. The contributions this year have been specifically targeted towards our new demountable building with it's need for an Interactive Whiteboard, projector and laptop. These items are never supplied by the department and must be purchased by the school. We also had to replace the projectors in the Kindergarten classes as well as kit out a new kindergarten classroom last year when we went to out third kindergarten class.
Although payments are still trickling in we are still well under what we would normally collect and yet our school has grown significantly in overall numbers of families. If you have yet to make your payment could I please encourage you to do so as it does impact on the overall ability of the school to fund our additional programs.
Thanks to Clare Dunn for organising our school Relay for Life team and to the staff who walked last weekend. Weekend time is precious to all of us and to donate your time to the Relay is greatly appreciated.
The last day of this term will not be a mufti day as we will be holding our Cross Country run and its expected that everyone from Kindergarten through to Year 6 will be participating and will be in sports uniform. If you can spare some time in the morning we would love to see you come along and watch the carnival. Mrs Morgan has organised a couple of great courses for all participants to ensure that everyone is included on the day. There will be the expectation that all children will be participating even if they only walk the course.
YEAH! - it's the last week of term and I'm sure you are looking forward to spending quality time with your family and having some downtime as much as we are in the classroom.
Enjoy a happy and safe holiday and we'll look forward to seeing you back at school on Wednesday 27 April.
