ANZAC Day thanks - Many thanks to Mrs Janelle Morgan, who represented me at our ANZAC Day march along with a number of other staff and a large number of students. Well done to all, we received a lovely letter from the President of the Club, Richard Pooley who was impressed with the presentation and behaviour of our students.
NAPLAN Moderator - today some of our Yr 3 and 5 students will take part in the NAPLAN moderator assessment. Our school was randomly selected to be part of this process and while the students perform an assessment very similar to the actual NAPLAN their results are not reported back to either parents or school. All of our students will participate in the actual NAPLAN assessments next week. For more information on either of these assessments please don't hesitate to contact either the class teacher or myself.
Dental Van visit - some of our Kindergarten classes have still not received their permission note for the Dental Van visit. These are specialised notes and apparently some of ours are still with the courier - somewhere? We have requested another set of permission notes and have delayed the actual dental van visit until the last week of term to give parents more time to return the notes to school. A number of parents that have received notes are yet to return them completed to school. I strongly urge you to take advantage of this service and access it while its local and available.
Busy Time - a number of events are coming up including the K-Yr2 AFL Skills Day (on today), PSSA boys soccer at Moruya, District Cross Country, Netball School Cup, Dr Patty Rose working with Student Wellbeing as well as our Leadership Camp for all local School Captains and leaders. This year following the success of our Fathers Day Breakfast we will also host a Mothers Day Breakfast. This will be a first for us and we hope to see lots of our mums here for coffee, croissants (from the French Bakery in Moruya) fruit or yoghurt. For details please check our school calendar.
